Ben Klimesh is a tenant representation specialist in Newmark Knight Frank's Denver office, focusing on office properties. 

I’m part of a tenant rep team here in Denver made up of six brokers: three senior partners, one senior associate, and two associates. My team was previously using a combination of Excel and Salesforce, but ultimately decided to make the switch to Apto. Why? Apto is tailored to commercial real estate brokers, is cheaper than Salesforce, and has the ability to stack buildings and filter based on lease expirations, which is incredibly valuable to a tenant rep.  

For us, the benefit of Apto is twofold. As a team, we can track every task and every connection made by a team member in Apto, whether that’s an email, phone call, or meeting. It prevents double touches by our team, because the last thing you want is your prospect or client to think you’re disorganized. The software also enables us to get together as a team and strategize about the market. In Apto, you can create groups of contacts based on industry, allowing us to provide more relevant marketing content to prospects.

For a tenant rep broker, prospecting is everything and Apto is a key component of that. I’m a newer broker too, so I’m doing a ton of research on companies. I don’t want to reinvent the wheel and have to do research on the same company multiple times, so once it’s in Apto, that’s it: I have the context I need for every conversation I’m having.
